Patricia Jimenez, E-RYT and YACEP, has been practicing and teaching yoga since the late 80’s. Expect wisdom from several types of yoga with an emphasis on smooth transitions and rhythmic breath between the stillness within each Asana itself. Pat’s yoga integrates her understanding of the body through studies, workshops and extensive personal training sessions in Pilates, Alexander technique, Functional Range Conditioning, Kinstretch, sports conditioning and consistent well-rounded athletic experience. She brings a unique, creative flow to her teaching, informed by many years of dance (ballet, modern, ballroom) college sports, current USTA tennis and as an ACE and ACSM certified fitness instructor.
Jimenez started teaching Yoga and “Cardio dance” at USF for the PE department as well as the continuing education dept in the 90’s and has taught for HIAC, BayCare Health Wellness centers, Bella Prana, Beach Yoga and the Lotus Pond. Her yoga studies include Iyengar, Vinyasa, Power, Praja, Ashtanga, Gentle and Restorative. Original trainings for RYT certification include 225 hours of Iyengar and Hatha Yoga in 2006 followed by a 225 hour Vinyasa Flow training with Shiva Ray and Micheline Berry in 2009.
Classes are always taught with options to modify or challenge -meeting students at their level and finding calmness and breath within any challenge. More important, classes emphasize a path to self-discovery for students to become co-creators of their reality; manifesting through setting Intentions plus focus.
